Domain Transfers

If you currently own a domain name and would like to use this domain name with your Point2 Agent website, there are a few steps you need to take.  Before you move your domain name from your current registrar to Point2, there are some important facts you need to know first:

• Transferring a domain will cost $16.95 USD and, at completion of the transfer, Point2 Agent will extend your domain registration for one year.
• Transferring a domain actually moves your domain from your current domain registrar to Point2 Agent.
• Transferring a domain can take up to 30 days.
• Your domain name must be UNLOCKED at your current registrar in order for this transfer to be completed.
• Your current email address must be listed in the Administrative Contact information for your domain name.

To transfer your domain name from its current registrar to Point2 Agent:

1. Log in to your Online Office and click the Domains and Email tab.
2. Click Manage Domains.
3. Click Domain Transfers. **Read the Important Information before proceeding. **
4. Enter the domain name you wish to transfer: After the www., enter in your domain name and its suffix
5. Authorization Code: Enter the Authorization Code that your domain registrar gave to you when you bought your current domain from them.
6. If you do not have your authorization code, click the Read More link.
7. This opens the About Domain Transfer page containing contact information for most major domain registrars.
8. Click Add to Cart if you have more than one domain name to transfer.
9. Click Proceed to Checkout if you have only one domain name to transfer.

After you have submitted your domain transfer request, you will receive an email to authorize the transfer with a Transaction ID and Security Code. You will also require an Authorization Code from your existing registrar in order to proceed.

In order to Proceed with the Transfer you must:

1. Go to the Point2 Realty Solutions Domain Page.
2. Enter your domain account Customer Number and Password, then click Secure Login.
3. The customer number and password is included in your domain transfer order receipt.
4. Select Pending Domain Transfers from the list.
5. Select the domain you wish to transfer, and click Authorization.
6. From the drop down choose Begin Transfer Authorization.
7. Use the Transaction ID and Security Code provided in the transfer authorization email you received, then enter the Authorization Code for your domain name.
