Spring at Point2 - is it actually in the air?
Lately, it has been cold here in Saskatoon, where the majority of Point2'ers reside. When I say 'cold', I mean cold. Just a few days ago, we woke up to a -46c (-50.8f) morning, including the windchill. Ouch.
Today, though, Mother Nature has decided to take pity on us (finally!) and we started the morning off at -12c (11f). Much better...almost sandal weather, except for all the snow.
There is something about Spring that generates hope. Maybe it is the warmer weather after enduring a harsh winter. Maybe it is the promise of seeing green grass again. Maybe it is the eternal optimism that one must have after the dark and bleak winter months. Maybe it is just psychological!
Whatever spell that Spring has on us, it is exciting. Spring is the time for new beginnings and new adventures. It makes me restless to go camping, restless to start my spring-cleaning, and restless to go on a road trip. Spring, to me, means movement.
What does Spring inspire in you?
