Food for Thought: Providing Open Information to your online visitors
Requiring online visitors to leave their name and email address in order to view the information they are looking for is becoming a thing of the past. Why? If they can't view the information on your website freely and easily, they will find it somewhere else. How many visitors do you get on your website that are generated from a Search Engine? Probably a lot of them, right? If those visitors aren't finding what they want, or are forced into registration forms, it's just as easy to hit the back button and perform another search. Keep in mind when you are editing your site that the most important information, the stuff that people want to read, or are looking for, should be openly available, and when they're ready, they'll contact you through your website without having to be forced into it.
