;)

The Maple Leaf. It may be just a leaf off a tree, but seeing the mighty maple leaf, a national symbol of all Canadians, makes me smile and swell with pride. Our flag is a cheerful red and white with a giant red maple leaf in the middle, looking slightly like someone standing there with arms open wide for a hug. The symbolism captures the friendliness of our nation, I think.

Pride. Canadians are proud to be Canadians, regardless of what anyone says about us. We're a happy, polite, slightly zany nation of people...and we're darn proud of it.

Oh Canada, I stand on guard for thee.

Tanya

~ Tanya Spilchak, Education Coordinator

The annual Point2 Childrens Christmas Party

Tomorrow afternoon the Point2 rec room will host a Christmas party for almost 60 kids! My 4 year old will be in his glory I'm sure, he's been excited to see Santa since Halloween. Me, on the other hand... as much as I love kids, 60 of them in one room <strike>might</strike> will definitely exhaust me

I was starting to wonder "Are ice cream sundae's really a good idea? How much ice cream is going to end up on the floor, or on the walls for that matter?". Then I realized that it doesn't matter how messy it gets, as long as the kids have fun, after all, this is their party and they can throw ice cream if they want to!
